Privacy policy
Guess by Clearpoint Studios. Last updated October 17, 2026.
Summary
The game runs entirely on your phone. Guess has no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no location access. Two things leave the device: an anonymous identifier sent to RevenueCat when the app starts, and a support conversation, if you choose to start one.
Data stored on your phone
Your current game, your statistics and three settings (haptics, keyboard layout, whether you have seen the intro) are stored in the app's private storage. They are never uploaded. The word list ships inside the app, so playing needs no connection.
RevenueCat
Guess sells nothing. We use the RevenueCat SDK only to count installs and active users. When the app starts, the SDK sends RevenueCat a random, anonymous app user identifier together with basic technical details (app version, operating system version, store country). No name, email or advertising identifier is sent. If you open support, this identifier is replaced by the anonymous support identifier described below, so one person counts once. RevenueCat processes this data for us under its own privacy policy.
Support chat
Nothing is sent to our support server until you open the support screen in the More tab. At that point the app creates an anonymous session on our Supabase server (hosted in the EU, Frankfurt) with a random identifier. If you write to us, we receive:
- the subject, category and messages you write, and our replies,
- the language of your phone, so replies can be translated for you,
- the app version, platform and device model (for example "Samsung SM-S911B"), so we can reproduce problems.
Messages may be machine translated so we can read and answer them. Opening the support screen is optional, and the game works the same without it.
Sharing your result
When you tap Share, the app hands a text grid of colored squares to your phone's share sheet. It contains no letters of the word. Where it goes is up to you; Guess does not see it.
What we do not do
We do not sell data, show ads, use advertising identifiers, track you across apps, or share data with third parties for their own purposes. All data in transit is encrypted with HTTPS.
Data retention
How long each kind of data is kept, and what ends the retention:
- Game, statistics and settings on your phone: kept until you tap Delete all data in the More tab or uninstall Guess. They are never copied to a server.
- Support session identifier: kept on our server while support tickets belong to it. Delete all data removes the session from your phone and signs it out on the server. The identifier and its tickets are deleted on request, within 30 days.
- Support tickets and messages (including language, app version and device model): kept while the conversation is open. Closed tickets are deleted no later than 12 months after the last message, or within 30 days of a deletion request.
- RevenueCat identifier: RevenueCat keeps the anonymous app user identifier according to its own retention policy. It is not linked to your name or email. On your phone it is discarded when you uninstall Guess or clear its data.
- Server backups: database backups exist for disaster recovery only and are overwritten within 30 days, so deleted data disappears from them within that window.
Deletion happens on the server itself, not by hiding records. How to request deletion, also without the app: guess-924.pages.dev/delete.

Guess is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has written to our support, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes
